Help For Knuckleheads
Math Happens with Lana Conte

For six years, ending in my second repetition of 9th Grade, I spent months each year learning long division. By June, although it took me too long to pass a quiz, I was able to manage a long division problem or two during class. By September, my math mind was a blank slate. On the third repetition of 9th Grade, I just gave up and settled on reading. Problems with math have been a constant irritant.
One day last year, as I coached a young lady in knife fighting, I noticed how easily she picked up the stroke counts that I and the other dyslexia/ADHD poster children of Modern Agonistics labor with. She attributed this to her profession. She is a math teacher, and among what she teaches are disciplines I have never heard of.
When I told Lana of my dismal math experience she offered to help. It then occurred to me that I might not be the only knucklehead out there who would like to be able to help his child or grandchild with their math homework.
Lana recently started MathHappens.com, a tutoring website. We have a link on our network page.
