I was speaking with a former coworker who works at Mondawmin Mall 400 Years In The Corn Field during his lunch. He said:

“Jayman, they done put out the word that they are lootin’ Mondawmin as soon as Frederick Douglas high school lets out. These niggas are incredibly dumb. Hell Freddie probably cut his dope with garlic powder he bought right up in here! After they wipe this place out they’ll have to buy all their shit at twice the price at the Korean joint where them slope heads hide behind they protective glass.

“The Boss man is all but shitin’ his self. We locked the shopping carts up in receiving so they can’t throw them through the windows and are keeping the money supply low. With but one cop and one security I just don’t see it. We lettin’ all the white employees go before them hood rats get let out of their cages.

“Me? Shheeeeit, my old ass is gettin’ the hell out’a Dodge!”

I spoke to a black friend yesterday who gets on various FaceBook and tumbler pages and websites devoted to black ghetto culture in Baltimore. She told me that the last three parents that lost sons to the police have asked Al Sharpton not to come to Baltimore, knowing that he is a violence vector. She also told me that there is very little concern over the killings of black men by black men [which are about 100 times more numerous than killings of blacks men by police of any kind.] And that some of the thinking black women have become suspicious over the fact that when black women are killed by police or black men that it is almost impossible to recruit marchers for a demonstration.

The police ended up using this store as their operations base. One aspect of the police's defensive posture was the fact that they came to protect this shopping center, which although mentioned on the news, was not shown. Some of the employees are trapped in the store, unable to safely drive off as the police perimeter is quite small. According to the innocent unarmed black teens who planed the riot and leaked information to employees their objectives were three:

1. Attack police

2. Attack whites

3. Loot
