In this brief history of the causes of one of the numerous 20th Century genocides that we care not to recall, Liddell showcases his ability to construct an historical narrative that does not get mired in any of its elements. His inclusion of an observer’s impressions of the titular head of the waning Turkish Empire was well-placed. The tendency to simply blame the nominally traditional empire for the crimes committed by the leftist parasites that were looting the carcass of state and piloting it like a geopolitical zombie marionette is nicely nixed in that astutely chosen quote.
