Today, for several hours, the enemy planes made low level straifing runs. They concentrated their fire mainly at the gardens. Our platoon lost two men. The platoon commander escaped somewhere.

Beginning tomorrow, the second platoon will guard Sasaro. [1]
Tomorrow, one man will go to the coast to get salt water.
It appears that the army units lost considerable numbers of men yesterday.

Some of those who went to the north coast are coming back because of the lack of food there.
There are no entries for the 24th, 25th, or the 26th.
