I am taking this weekend off posting to complete, By Gaslight. This novelette will be partially serialized here and is to be published with appended articles written this week, which were largely research pieces for the fiction. The narrative and cast will feature actual times and locations and persons I experienced during the past month in Stumptown.

The story involves my favorite Victorian explorer Richard Francis Burton, a character based on a man I know and another based on myself, in the rain-sodden days between Halloween and Thanksgiving of the undead year of 2020.
