In this 46 minute podcast Jack introduces us to a truly bizarre and amazing man. Diabolus Rex is a former member of the Church of Satan, and the driving force of Black Sun Occult Engineering and Design. This dude is trying to combine engineering, mythological constructs and quantum physics to build a demonic device. His stated purpose is to ‘leave the human context behind’. It sounds to me like he wants to navigate space-time in search of God. Rex could have had a wonderful conversation with Richard Burton, Phillip K. Dick of Phillip Jose Farmer.

The best part of this discussion has Diabolus explaining how Satanism has become so mainstream—even being co-opted by the federal government—that it cannot have any viability as a worthy philosophical construct. I did not expect an American sorcerer to come out against Satanism and materialism in one breath. Rex wants to evolve to the point where he can survive the passing of his body and go ‘into infinity’. He is a huge H. P. Lovecraft fan, is totally serious, will certainly leave you shaking your head, and absolutely does not care.

This was fascinating.
