Was just wondering if you had any comment on this article from amren/salon on Baltimore and gentrification. I'm one of those new readers who found you thru Taki's and this article was written by a self proclaimed "gifted Baltimore writer" which made me want to ask your take on same (being the only "gifted Baltimore writer" I know of). I enjoy all of your non fiction posts very much.

Thank you for the link and the compliment Lewis.

I shall check this out and do an article on it.

Not the movies that are easily bad due to half-assed effort or a cheap budget, but movies meant to good, with loads of talent, that fail despite all the efforts put into them. The stories here are philosophically bankrupt.

Clive Owen was fantastic in Children of Men. But the story was all about rich white Brits consigning the entire third world to death by denying immigration which is the opposite of the truth, and humanity's last hope is getting a pregnant black girl—father unknown—on a Green Peace boat!
