James LaFond, survivor of 645 stick fights and 221 machete duels, will conduct a workshop on contact weaponry fundamentals.

Material will include:

1. Weapon grip, stroke fundamentals, and combat conditioning

2. A review of 6 FMA counts

3. the 7 most effective stick strokes

4. the 8 essential blade strokes

5. combat application of the shift

6. the 2 essential triangle steps

All necessary equipment is on hand, though you are free to bring your own.

Those who wish to spar may request to be kept over for a sparring clinic, which will be conducted only on request, from 4 to 5.

Charles, James’ terrestrial publisher and sparring nemesis, will be assisting in his customary contusive capacity.
