Jimmy Wilde was nick named "The Mighty Atom" and "The Ghost with a Hammer in his Hand" for his devastating KO ability.
Wilde had the longest recorded unbeaten streak, of 104-0 and had a devastating straight right. He fought in carnival booths, so saw much more boxing action than his record suggests.
Jimmy Wilde was the greatest man to fight at his size. His nemesis, Poncho Villa, did not reign long after taking the title, as he tragically died of an illness at a very young age.
