Eight year old girl asks neighbor to call authorities after finding her mother slain outside their rural north Oshawa Ontario home.

“The man, who asked not to be identified, immediately recognized the frightened girl was the daughter of a woman who moved into a small house on nearby Simcoe St. N., just south of Coates Rd., about 18 months ago. He asked the child if anyone else was at the house and her response was equally shocking. “She told me a man was there, someone I have seen around the house occasionally,” he recalled. “The man told her he was going to kill himself.” The neighbour brought the girl into his home and called 911.”
