Ray, a Northeast Baltimore fighter I met in 2004, who cofounded the Randolf Macon College MMA club in 2008, came in second in our Round Robin Agon in 2010, and was finishing law school out of state, was back in town for spring break when he was caught in a house fire. It appears that he made no effort to leave until his family got out safely. Ray was burned over 80% of his body and is now in a medical induced coma.

Here's hoping those Slavic genes of his kick in to high gear and he pulls through.
