Angela Merkel was always a slippery politician, very good at telling people what they wanted most to hear. Clearly we didn’t know the half of it. Her arrogance and effrontery reminds me of the old story about the young man who murdered his parents and then begged the court to show him mercy on account of him being an orphan. When it is all said and done Merkel will likely have rivaled Hitler in the ruin she has brought to Germany. Especially if a majority of the German people don’t wise up and rid themselves of her and her fellow travelers this coming national election. Even then its still going to take some doing to clean up the mess she will have left behind.
