I have liked Charlie LeDuff’s work since he did the Bay City Rats documentary about 10 years ago. Kevin, the man that fills in for the mythic Mike, and his son, are the white Americans that cannot exist, who the liberals and conservatives all hate. I’m thrilled to find out he is doing YouTube shorts. I like the second video even more, in which the solution for a 32-foot wall is ingeniously fathomed by a guy who doesn’t even work for NASA…

Thanks for turning me on to Mr. LaDuff's work. Awhile back you and other commenters remarked on the malevolence of the American slave owning class. If you were to fast forward 150 or so years you can find the same strains of general "meanness" amongst our betters and their media chihuahua's. It was nice to see that 5 minute segment on Mike. There are way too many people like him in this world that not only get shit on by the machinations of the government/corporate hive mother but are then openly ridiculed and stigmatized.
