‘A Shame’
A Woman, on Her Avocation
© 2017 James LaFond
MAY/17/17
I was so excited to find such a whimsical book, written in the old diction, with such elegant and heart felt art, that when I showed my friend I knocked over my bag and chipped a blue and white suveniour plate from Bangor Maine with waterfront illustrations.
It’s not the money.
It’s the principle of the thing, that I do this to preserve the few old things that have made it down through the years as they were, when things were made with care.
It’s just a shame.
