We went out in search of gardens, arrived at a garden about eight miles distant. There were no potatoes, but we cooked leaves and ate them.
July 5
The platoon Commander, Kawamvra arrived here.
July 6
The enemy planes were said to be dropping food, but we could not find any.
July 10
We set out today, many dropped out on the way.
Two men are in dying condition.
Why do we have to go through all these hardships?
