This is a real offbeat serial. Dominick, like me, has six or seven serials going. This is a departure for him. A dystopian worldview and an eerie sense for how people bind their hatred into complexes mark all of his work. Most of his stuff is dark fantasy or superhero.

The Sixth Level of Hell seems to be a military-political view of a near future centered on U.S. Military activity—or rather its residue—in Northern China and North Korea. The first two issues follow POWs Kurt and Daniel at the Chien Fa Camp. The behind the wire politics is astute and the setting appropriately bleak.
