The following are notes from Carmella, a woman who, until recently, ran a drug rehab boarding house, until the tenants became too violent.

It’s heroin mixed with gasoline and other stuff, that actually eats the flesh away from the areas where it is shot into the body. I saw a zombie the other day who had nothing but skin hanging between his forearm bones.

“The heroin value of the hit is only two dollars. They’ll cut it with this other shit and sell it for four or five dollars which increases the number of hits a junkie can buy. On one side you have bodies piling up from the pure heroin, since our wonderful military adventures have driven the heroin price through the flow. And on the other side, you have an actual zombie apocalypse.
